The artist, who thinks in pictures, looks for inspiration in newspapers, magazinesand on the Internet. He leads the audience into surreal and fantastic dream worldsand seeks a bitingly ironic dialogue with him in his painting. His washcloth serieswith portraits of dictators and celebrities who have made questionable lifedecisions are legendary: &#8220;I choose people according to what kind of carversor asymmetries they have in their lives: Embarrassments, moral distortions, crimes, greed or power&#8221;, explains J\u00e4ger his intention.
